We look forward to seeing you in the library and helping you with your information needs.
All library staff are here to help and answer your questions. Stop by the service point in any of our campus libraries to speak with the librarian on duty.
Campus libraries and off-campus services
Finding information
You can see a Māori services librarian for:
- support
- advice
- training in how to use the library’s collections and services.
We can help you access Māori print and electronic resources, as well as non-Māori resources.
Information skills tutorials
We can arrange course-specific tutorials with lecturers and course organisers for students at all levels. These tutorials focus on:
- library resources, both print and electronic
- searching Discover, article databases and other electronic resources
- referencing software and tools
- evaluating resources
- hands-on searching
- practical exercises.
Book an appointment
You can book an appointment if you’re a Māori staff member or postgraduate student working on a thesis or research project.
We offer individual appointments. You can meet with either a subject librarian or a member of the Māori services team.
It’s a good idea to book an appointment if:
- you’re having trouble finding materials on a particular topic
- you’d like personal help using the library or our electronic resources
- you need help starting your research.
In your session we can help you:
- identify appropriate resources in various formats
- map out research strategies.
To make sure we’re prepared for your appointment, please book at least three business days in advance.
