Pay domestic student fees , Wāhi utu mō ngā tauira kei Aotearoa

As a domestic student, your Confirmation of Enrolment from Massey will have information about the fees you need to pay for your study and the payment due date.

Your fees are due to be paid as soon as your enrolment in courses is confirmed and before you start studying, or earlier if the university requests it. There are a number of options for payment.

Your payment due date will be shown on your invoice, which will be available when you log in to the student portal

Credit card payment

You can pay your fees by credit card online by logging into the student portal.

The University accepts Visa or MasterCard. If you are in New Zealand you can pay in person by credit card at Campus Information Services on any Massey University campus.

Online banking

You can deposit your fees directly into the Massey University bank account:

Or you could select one of your bank's online bill payment options for Massey:

  • Massey University – Student Fees (for Enrolment and Tuition Fees).
  • Massey University – Student Other (for other payments such as Library Fines or Student Health charges).

To make sure we process your payment quickly, complete your details in this way:

  • Particulars: <enter your name> for example, 'John Smith'
  • Code: <enter your student ID> for example, '12345678'
  • Reference: <what the payment is for> for example, 'Fees'

EFTPOS (on campus)

If you are in New Zealand you can make fees payments by EFTPOS in person at Campus Information Services on any Massey campus.

Employer paying

If your employer is paying your fees and would like to be invoiced directly, they will need to send us a purchase order containing:

  • company letterhead including full name and postal address
  • email address for the invoice
  • company contact name
  • order number or identifier
  • student name
  • student ID number.

Your employer will also need to include the specific items to be invoiced on the purchase order, such as:

  • course tuition fee (part or full payment)
  • course component fee
  • student services fee.

The invoice will be emailed unless we hear from you that your employer would like it posted.

Fees Free scheme

If you’re a first-time tertiary student, or you've studied less than 60 credits, you may be eligible for the Fees Free study scheme.

Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF)

The Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF) covers your fees for eligible programmes until 31 December 2022. If you're eligible, your fees will be covered by TTAF and will automatically show in your student account.

If your fees are being paid by scholarship, please give us the details of the scholarship so your enrolment can be completed.

StudyLink student loan

If you'd like to pay your fees with a student loan, you will need to apply through StudyLink. StudyLink is run by the Ministry of Social Development.

Training Incentive Allowance (TIA)

Some beneficiaries may qualify for a Training Incentive Allowance (TIA) for:

  • course fees
  • transport
  • books
  • stationery
  • any additional caring costs you may have.
