Qualifications are made up of courses. Some universities call these papers. Each course is numbered using six digits.
Level
The fourth number of the course code shows the level of the course. For example, in course 219206, the fourth number is a 2, so it is a 200-level course (usually studied in the second year of full-time study).
Credits
Each course is worth a number of credits. You combine courses (credits) to meet the total number of credits needed for your qualification.

- 1 Investigate and diagnose diseases and traumatic conditions of soft tissue structures in which surgery may be indicated in dogs and cats.
- 2 Evaluate options for whole-patient management of the dog and cat with soft tissue disease, including medical management and referral. Judge and articulate prognosis with various surgical and medical options.
- 3 Plan and perform common surgical procedures of soft tissues in dogs and cats, including management of commonly occurring complications.
- 4 Explain and justify preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management of soft tissue diseases in dogs and cats.
- 5 Collate and present clinical information to a standard suitable for scientific publication, develop and justify clinical approaches to soft tissue surgical diseases in dogs and cats with reference to the scientific literature.
- 6 Demonstrate utilisation of peer feedback and personal reflection to improve your practice of the discipline.
