Grow North

Creating a smart innovation district

Massey University, Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development (ATEED) and BNZ are working together to develop a smart innovation district in Auckland North.

The leaders have brought together a group representing Auckland North school principals, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, accelerating businesses, mature industry, local body, investors and business groups. This group have the aim of creating a smart innovation district that offers a unique opportunity to create a highly prosperous, vibrant and livable community, where aspirational businesses and talented people will want to live and work, produce exportable innovation and collectively build a better future for themselves and their families.

Who are we?

The Grow North project is governed by a steering committee including representation from funders and industry.

The project is being managed through the Massey University's Knowledge Exchange Hub.

    Where is Auckland North?

    For the purposes of the Grow North research, Auckland North refers to the five regions comprising Kaipatiki, Devonport-Takapuna, Hibiscus and Bays, Upper harbour, and Rodney, as seen on the map below.
