Critically-acclaimed writer and director Makoto Shinkai, brings Your Name, an innovative tale of two total strangers with an impossible connection.
The film follows two high school students who discover they have a strange connection despite never having met. Mitusha, a girl living in a mountain town in Japan, wakes up in the body of Taki, a boy living amid Tokyo’s chaos. Their connection grows as they discover what it all means.

Your Name will screen at Massey University’s Auckland campus on Wednesday October 3. The monthly Japanese films play on the first Wednesday of the month, at 6.15pm. Preceding the main feature is a short documentary on life and culture in Japan, which starts at 6pm. Unless specified, the films are screened in the Atrium Round Room on the ground floor of the Atrium Building. Free parking is available on campus.
Your Name is rated PG – Parental guidance recommended for young viewers.
